God, I hope the shoes are OK.....maybe if he tied them they wouldn't have come off. But on the other hand, maybe it was like in a car wreck, the parts flying off helped to dissapate the energy, thereby saving his ass.

ANy way you look at it that had to hurt!!!!!!! He might of walked away but you know the next morning he wasn't moving very much! Reminds me of the crash that Tommy "tomcat" Clowers had a few years back. When he nailed the side of a landing.

Overall a pretty good X-Games. What I want to know is how he fell 50 feet and bruised his liver...... I jumped 25 feet and fell about 15 feet down and lacerated mine. Granted I hit the bars but STILL. I am absolutely amazed at how relatively un-injured he was. Pros know how to fall I guess......

Well yea Dan, when you're falling, you gotta get off whatever you're riding and swing your arms around like an idiot pretending like it's gonna bring you down slower....ha

its just physics, once ur in free fall u cant apply a torque because there nothing to grab onto or push back against u. u can twist ur body but u cant make urself move in any direction other than the one ur falling in

I mean theoretically, yes it WILL work because you can push air (aka a fan, etc) but your arms aren't fan blades so they're not going to do much.

no it wont lol ull learn when u take physics

How does a bird fly then?
08-07-2007, 02:40 PM
its wings create lift through a large surface area not to mention ridiculously strong pectoral muscles, thats a tottally different thing

But it's the same...If we had rediculously large wings and huge pecs it would make an effect if we were falling...
08-07-2007, 03:23 PM
u wouldnt be falling then u would be flying or gliding, thats different...see lol
