COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - An elementary school has banned tag on its playground after some children complained they were harassed or chased against their will.
"It causes a lot of conflict on the playground," said Cindy Fesgen, assistant principal of the Discovery Canyon Campus school.
Running games are still allowed as long as students don't chase each other, she said.
Fesgen said two parents complained to her about the ban but most parents and children didn't object.
In 2005, two elementary schools in the nearby Falcon School District did away with tag and similar games in favor of alternatives with less physical contact. School officials said the move encouraged more students to play games and helped reduce playground squabbles.

What a crock. It's like the soccer games for kids now where there is no score and both teams get ribbons after the game! It teaches kids that you don't have to try to be successful. But let me ask you this. Ask any kid on either side and tell me they don't know exactly whose ahead. Pussification of America. You need to get your azz beat now and then so you know you don't like it. Then you will try harder so it doesn't happen again. What a joke! Argh don't get me started!!

Hide a belt in an alley, everybody tries to find it, when someone does they yell hot soup and beat the sh!t out of everyone till they make it to the end of the alley! Most painful fun I have ever had! Just lets you know life is gonna hurt!

Kids are sissys because parents are sissys. they don't think kids should play and rough it up. I was a rough kid, we all were. now days they are all f*ckin sissys and parents cry and moan about everything. Let kids be kids. but that is just my opinion.

I remember when i was younger, it was soccer, paintball, football, baseball, there was a capture the flag stage, then a hockey stage, the oh i remember the airsoft stage  . parents didint like that one too much.
