r/c body crack repair
#1
what is a good method of patching/repairing a crack in lexan ??

I have a crack on the rear mount, from the mounting point to the back of the body. To a point where the body could slip past the body clip.

any ideas???

Get a new peice of lexan, shoe goo it in place. Re-drill the holes after its dry.

In that situation I got the big huge body clips. Also tried JB Weld and Washers...didnt work that well. Tried the Shoe Goo and Lexan method, that yielded best results.
LSP lots of Khz, Werks .28 8 port.

Revo 2.5, TRX 3.3 Engine, Center Diff. Fast and Turns on a dime.

I use shoe goo and drywall mesh tape before the body starts cracking.

Jerry sighting....how goes it buddy?

+1 on the scrap and new holes..two scraps is even better..one inside, one outside, shoogoo all over the place...looks like crap and is real tough. But if it's already broken, so what?
got paint?

If those are Mugen bodies, I would be interested. Mine are getting old. I think the MBX5T body Jerry did for me is almost a year old now. Buggy bod was the thin stock one and is about to let go. LMK...

Jerry, hope all is getting better for you??? Ive had some hard times also with inlaw and now my mother the last few monthes. I just wish things could go back to the way they were. Let me know if you might have some free time soon or???Thank you, Kevin.
