In Nov. 2006, 2-½ year old Zachary Yost was diagnosed with a rare cancer
“Neroblastoma”.
Zach was a normal child whose life was full of play and laughter with his twin
brother and older sister until the day “his leg hurt”. After several trips to
the doctor, which included checks for a sprain or break, he was referred to a
specialist. The news was earth shattering, CANCER, and not just any cancer, but
a rare very serious form with a low survival rate. Thus the fight to save Zach’s
life began.
Zach and his family are long time Rock Crawlers and could really use our help.
This Sunday, a group of the Colorado RCCrawlers are going to get together. With
our children we plan to build little Zach his very own RCCrawler to be given to
him for Christmas. We will be posting the build live as it happens so please
follow along in the Axial AX-10 section on sunday.
We are also doing a huge fund raiser starting this Sunday to help Zach and his
family get the medical care he needs. Our goal is for RCCrawler.com to raise $4000.00 in 1 week. A check for the money we raise will be
delivered along with Zach's shiny new crawler.
There is a small group of guys on the site that have already started collecting
money. We have managed to collect $1000 within a couple of days so we are
already a forth of the way to our goal. This same group is also donating an
awesome collection of new and used RCCrawling items that will be put up in an
auction for you all to bid on. All the proceeds from the auction along with any
other money we collect will go directly to Zach and his family.
You will also see buttons on the site where you can give a straight cash
donation, please use those buttons, wiether you give .50 or $50. Every little
bit counts!
Thank you very much in helping us reach this goal, may you all have an awesome
holiday season!
