I have a list of mods for you to do..... first ditch those cants they will just frustrate you, make or buy some link mounts to move the shocks and lower links out to near the wheel. Ditch the stock rod ends, they start flexing after a couple months of running. Go ahead and pick up some RS4 dogbones for replacing the axle shafts when they twist. You'll want to use a light weight brushless and a GRU if you are going to retain the stock "trans". Oh, dont forget to brace the motor because that motor mount will flex under stress..... Make sure the gears in the axles are shimmed properly... After you do all that it will make a pretty good crawler (Ive got 2)

I forgot, pull the front skid plate, you'll just hang up on everything otherwise... I was going to run 1 of my pti is the comp but I killed the gears so Im running "talon" instead.

Yep the first thing to go was the cants cause they don't even look like they'd work good! Thanks Jeff, i've got a build that i've been brewing up chassis wise! Jeff IS the PTI guy! :headbang:

what ever you do, keep it light. Those PTI axles dont hold up with heavy rigs (Ive torn up a couple)

In other words to sum it up PTI axles are the worst shaft drive axles on the market. They have zero aftermarket support, poor parts support and use cheap materials. However, don't fret that to much, they can still be used to make a decent crawler. A few guys in my club used to run them, (keyword) used to.Big Grin

I'd make a 1.9 scale truck out of them axles.

Maybe build up one of them, Blazer bodies.

I got an old clod body that's not the best of shape, perfect scale body! I think i'll build a tube chassis instead of the 1/2" square, to be a little lighter? Big Grin
