thanks again for the free air bob. haha. I'll post the video i got when i can, but i realized when i got home my main computer's dead, and don't have anything to capture the video =\. but great little track, I had fun just being able to drive on a dirt course in the middle of these cornfields.
Bob,
Thank you for letting us use your track Sunday. Jason and I had a good time. I will get some JConcepts Goosebumps for my B4 for more traction.
Hopefully we will recruit more people to come so we can race on a regular basis with a lap timing system.
ATTENTION TO EVERYONE!!!!
Bob is serious about making more improvements to the track and get a racing "schedule." The track is a good size and fun to drive on. You will need JConcepts Goosebumps or Losi silver step-pins for more traction(thats what works so far). Lets get more guys to show up!
Thanks Bob!!

Thanks again Bob for letting everone run on your track.Since it is a backyard track Nick and myself were not sure what to expect, but were suprised on how big and nice it really is.
Hopefully more people will come out and we can make the few small improvements we talked about yesterday. We had a great time and look foward to coming back soon. Thanks
How did you like those tires? We just got some Lug Nutz for the T4 but have not tried them yet -- the stock T4-RS tires are not a good choice for this dirt.
Well, I did not push for a race today. Instead, I was finishing up the first section of the driver's stand:joy:. It is a 6-foot length with 3 feet of width and 3 feet of height (6 feet including the railing). I will be working on section #2 during this week (each section will be about 6 feet of extra length), and then I might take a break on that until we see that a longer stand is needed.
Hey Bob, how can me and a buddy of mine run on that track that I see so many good things about, I had asked a couple months ago, Just want to make sure it is ok with you, Thanks.
Hi, LW. We did have a publicized gathering on July 13, just about a week ago. I am seeing if I get any interest forthis upcoming weekend on Sunday. If you can't make a certain time, just say, and we will work something out.
Bob,
I would be interested in coming out this Sunday.I will talk to Nick but I am sure he would be game also.I will post up here or give you a call in the next couple days. Thanks
OK. Let's say we have a July 27 (Sunday) "race". Show up around 10:30 to strt running. Normally, I would say practice at 10:30, race at 12:30. We haven't had real racing heats yet, but I will practice with the AlyCat scoring system and maybe try some manual entry races.
What will be different from last time? We will have a small driver's stand this time. It offers 3 feet of elevation and can currently fit maybe 4 racers. It will be extended later. We also will abandon my pop-up tent. The wind can get a bit bothersome with it. We can try pitting under the trees where it is nice and shady.
Would love to come out and join in for the fun, but I have only a 1/16 scale Mini Inferno (sorry, its nitro). I know your track is only "electric". Hell, I live on a private golf course and still run my little bugger around the back yard. I keep it off of the course. Tempting seeing that beautiful, tight cut grass:eek:
No, its Boulder Ridge Country Club in Lake in the Hills off of Algonquin Road and Frank Road. I live off of the 3rd tee box. Generally don't run the car, motorcycle or buggy until 5pm. Golfers are thin by then. My neighbors don't mind. Their 3 year old loves the buggy. He brings out his little R/C car his dad bought to run in the driveway with me.
Will keep watching the board for you guys meeting up at your place on a weekend. May jump on the motorcycle and ride out there to see your track. Hell, I can marshall and pick-up the flips. Just have to remember they run silent. (Kidding).
