Cool pics Looker. I bet there will be even more 1/5th scale events next year getting national press as HPI has done a great job promoting and supporting the Baja and it's owners.

We are helping work on 1/5 scale racing as a whole. Looking forward to many new tracks coming next spring. This side of the hobby is definitely growing rapidly & deserves some places to hold races. It just gets better all the time.
Here is the first ever 5t race :

Yep, I think next year will be bigger for sure. I'm curious to see what the Michigan guys from HBF will come up with. Hopefully Timmahh will secure a track and get some good 1/5th scale events going. Hostilefest looks to be one in 09 to plan for as well.

Maybe I'll get myself one for my birthday...only thing I wish is I could get it as a Kit. Maybe I should wait a little bit, think they will release a 5t SS? Lol

Here is a Dr. Stand view of the R/C facilities at Milestone MX park. This place is huge & offers some serious Motorcross tracks as well as the R/C tracks. There will be many more events for this up coming season. Keep watching, cause I know of several already scheduled here on our Eastern side of the US. Not to mention what all else fall into place across the country. I know I have been into R/C since the early 80's & I've never had the fun I have with these vehicles. The amount of time spent driving is so far beyond any other options out there. They are incredible.

Is the outdoor track at Leisure too small for 1/5th scale?

From the ones I have been on, 1/8th scale tracks are not designed for the bigger cars. We actually ran on the indoor track once during the I-hobby show last year & it was pretty much a disaster. With a properly designed track, like the one at the nationals ( designed & built be John Schultz from HPI ), the cars do great. There are so many tracks being built right now I have a hard time keeping up with all of them. For right now, one would almost have to travel a bit to race on a full time basis. I have an oval track at my house & we're working on another at the shop. The one at the shop is already there, just needs a bit of cleaning & changed around a bit. I would almost bet there will be one in your area here very soon. I'll definitely keep you updated. Our plans for right now are to be at the Hostile hobby race in the spring & at the No Limit RC event also in the spring. More to come ....

its not a small track, but in all honesty, I dont think they would do well at all, the track usually has tons of big air so that would be your biggest problem.
