I visited the BYRW last night to check them out and see what all the chatter flying around these forums was about, and contrary to what I have read so far, I had fun! I am a new rcer, and have nothing to reference this track to, but it was about what I expected for a place called "Barnyard Raceway". It's a barn originally intended for equine use converted into what is now a short off road course. Like I said earlier, I have no point of reference for another indoor off road track, but I thought it was cool. There is a pit road, and driver stand, as well as a pit area that is slightly warmer than the track area. There were only three of use on the track last night, so I asked about Saturday to get an idea of how crowded things get. I was told that Saturday is definitely more popular, but I am not a popular person, and being new, I like to stay away from other cars while I learn how to run on a track and work my lines, so Friday is it for me. The people I met were nice, down to earth, helpful, and encouraging . While it was cold, no heat as of yet although there is a plan, there was great hot chocolate with marshmallows, and plenty of other concessions, in case you get hungry while waiting for batt's to charge, and/or motor to cool. I had a great time, and since I live close, this is an awesome opportunity for me to get involved in this, the newest of my hobbies. So, as for my review, great place to go if you live close, have an offroad r/c and like to have fun. If this is not your thing, don't go!
