You dont pull up too a web site... You pull up too a track.... Just admit it, you were jagging them.
All im saying is, IF you were speaking of the lack of interst here on the website you worded it in a way that could confuse people very easily.
Here I'll break it down for you:
"Barking at the door but no one is home?"
Cheesecake makes a great post on Chitown, but after 9 days there's no followa up.
"Kinda weird, like tumbleweeds rolling around when you pull up to the place that used to have crowds of folks all over last time you were there."
This forum used to be folks posting back and forth within minutes/hours, now you click on stuff here and there's huge gaps of time between posts if there's even any replies at all. Like pulling into a town that is now deserted.
"What happened here, no one is home anymore."
How come no one is posting about racing here anymore, everyone has left.
Sooo....maybe I worded my 4/29 post weird. I didn't mean to imply anything at all about DD's, and no I absolutely didn't want to or even intended to bust DD's chops.

Well I have to admitt, I took it as a bash on the club right away. Sorry for being a little sensitive on the subject, but it is a lot of work, and it does start to effect you personaly when guys talk crap about you and your hard work, but then when you see them at Leisures or other places, they dont want to say anything to our faces.
Kenji, I will be the 1st to say sorry for getting all bent out of shape. But you have to admitt, you purposly posted it that way.
And we welcome ANYONE to come out and race. We want everyone to race with us if they want, we want more families and people looking to have fun or just begin to race to come out and give us a try, but no membership needed. Members is $10 to race and NON is $15. And No we are not a facility, its a farm with a track, so if you think it will be like Leisure hours or Peoria, then please lower you expectations, this is a home built NON PROFIT track, and it is one hell of a fun track to go to and meet some NICE people!

No apology necessary. Thanks.
Very few people really know how much work it takes to get a race venue up and running, making it a fun place and keep it running successfully.

In the last weeks, I have bumped into Mr. Cheesecake and spoken to other folks who race at DirtDawgs. I like everyone I have met and might want to stop over for a race. If I brought a 1/10th-scale electric, what are the odds there would be a heat for me to race in? Either way, I might just want to stop in to say hi.

Havent seen much 1/10 out there yet this year. There have been a few talking about it, but didint get a heat of them at the first race.
I did just pick up a little 1/12 Hyper STe Truggy I am going to bring out and possibly race with the 1/10 if they do show up.
You guys have a class I could run that thing in up at yout track Bob?

We played with a class called "open" yesterday. It had a mod-Slash (very impressive), E-8T and a MT. I don't know if it is a good idea for a class, but it fits anything.

We aren't planning one right now. Its possible we might do one again toward the end of the season if things are running smooth. Last years was a bit more than we expected for turn out and things got werent as smooth as we liked. We just want to run a normal season this year and if we feel all of the wrinkles that caught us up a bit last year are ironed out we may think about it.
But to answer your question.... At this point there is no plan for a money race.

Seems to have been cleared up.
He is right though.... This forum is DEAD!!! Doesnt seem like there is anyone on here anymore compared to what it was a year or 2 ago.

agree...it was a great site till I started reading some very mean and angry posts on some other threads, but hopefully this site picks up again, it was the place to go for all of our Chitown racing info, and now not so much. I think in time it will come back, but to be honest, a lot of places are really getting to be like this, Truggyracers for a example is quite dead and not having all the latest news and info like before.
And I did say I was sorry to Mr.Kenji for being overly sensitive.

One thing that seems to be a problem for driving traffic on the site is I dont get any email notifications any more from this site when somone replies to a thread I'm subscribed to. I have the settings for instant notification tuirned on but dont ever get any. I only reply when I think to go and check the site and see what has been posted.

Like I said before, no apologies necessary. I was just misunderstood.
In terms of people posting here it might also be a case of splintered readership. this place was hopping when Leisure had moved from Crest Hill to Schweitzer Rd. Lots of folks here seemed to be racers there.
rctech.net has become one of the better forums for all types of racing and classes of vehicles.
Leisure was getting tons of racers over the Winter but even their own internal forums didn't get lots of play because I think more people would lurk at rctech at the Leisure forum there. I might be wrong........

That is for sure. RcTech is booming. I still always check up here, but there was a HUGE group of racers that no longer post here, and some of those guys dont race anymore either.
