St. Patrick's Day is around the corner.

What are people doing for this liquid consumption holiday? Bars, parades, family stuff?

Last year I got sauced over at the Kerry Piper (5 minutes north from rt83 and I-55 intersection). Not sure where I'll be this year, but I guarantee beer will be served there Big Grin.

this is how good the hpi plastic parts are out of a kit,i was finishing up the build of my ss kits one finished the other i am setting the servo's up sontrol and end points, well i just barely bumped the steering wheel on my radio and i heard a snap on the truck, the stock servo saver snapped off at the screw base, grant it i am using a digital hitec servo but that had to be a world record for a servo saver breaking, but thats how weak of a plastic material that is,and i was only using it till i can find a cam type since al's and l/h where out,not like i can run them anyway bit cold and damp out

  New site skins are available!!
Posted by: Mr. Tune - 02-28-2005, 10:53 PM - Forum: News - Replies (13)

There are 4 NEW skins available for all members and guest to choose from when on ChitownRC.com!!

A new Chitown R/C Light skin is now available and it's in 4 color schemes . Blue (default), Chocolate, Citrus, and Sand.

At the bottom of everypage (on the left hand side) you'll see a drop down style menu. All you have to do is pick one of the skins and voila, the site changes into the new skin you picked.

Everyone (even guests), please try them out and then vote on your favorite in the poll to the right of this message (if your reading this from the homepage) or in the polls forum. The one with the most votes will become the new default skin for ChitownRC.com

Enjoy the new skins!!

John

What your favorite chitown r/c style?
Posted by: Mr. Tune - 02-28-2005, 10:44 PM - Forum: Off-Topic - Replies (12)

Well, I added a new skin for the site. It's a light colored skin, so those who problems reading posts with the dark skin due to their monitors or choice in web browsers can now easily read the forums.

I installed it with 4 color variations. Blue (default), Chocolate, Sand, and Citrus.

All members (and I think guests too) can pick which one they want to use via the skin selector menu at the bottom of every page on the site. There are now 5 total, 4 from the new one and the original dark one.

This poll is to figure out which skin should be the default skin (the one visitors will get when they first see this site, or members who haven't chosen a specific one yet). So, try them all out and then vote here. The highest one, will become the new default skin here. Until then, the dark skin will remain the default.

Enjoy the new look!!

With the new thing in radio control being mini or 1/18 scale, I was wondering what everyone's opinion is on them. I think they are cool because most of them come in RTR form and they can be raced inside on rainy cool sundays. What does everyone else think?
