Oak Park HobbyTown is gone, they are no longer in business.
Al's is your closest quality hobby shop. Call ahead to make sure they have the parts you need. There is also Venture Hobbies in Wheeling, and Leisure Hours in Joliet.

Welcome to the city and the boards! Hope to see you out at the Leisure track.
Leisure Hours Hobby shop is worth the drive to go pick up a new kit. If your spending hundreds of dollars on an RC an 25-35 minute drive it well worth it.

Buy your stuff at Leisure Hours and at Al's. Go to both stores and introduce yourself and tell them guys here at chitownrc.com told you to stop in. Just so you know both places can get just about anything you want if it's not in their stores, in about two days, depending on when you call. Good thing is that both the big distributors of hobby stuff are within a 5 hour UPS truck drive away. Both places try to give you the best prices you can get.
Check out the forums at: http://www.rctech.net look for: Wisconsin and Illinois Racing Here's places to race (in no particular order): http://www.his-hershobbies.com/page/page/964990.htm http://www.trackside.com/ http://leisurehoursraceway.com/ http://intenseracewaypark.com/ http://www.bristolrc.com/ Hobbytown USA 4338 E New York St, Aurora, 60504 - (630) 375-1230 Hobbytown USA 3627 E Main St, St Charles, 60174 - (630) 587-12 Hobbytown USA 15 Crystal Lake plz, Crystal Lake, 60014 - (815) 444-1515
