Any Electric Stadium Truck owners round here?
#1
It seemsthat everybody is into nitro, but I was just wondering if there are electric trucks running out here, I'm last time I went to Lesiure Time I was the only 1 of 4 running electirc that evening, I know there has to be more than that. I have nothing against nitro, I want to get a nitro again (since my sportmaxx was stolen, and Revo was destoryed by a dump truck..don't ask). But I do have T4 team truck, with a LRP IPC Pro Sport ESC, Epic 3000 battery (soon 3700mAh), and cheapy 19T Venom Fireball ( I like to kill my motors).

At Leisure in the past on Friday Night Electric Racing, 19turn truck was THE most popular class with sometimes up to 25 trucks a night. When were you racing your T-4...what nights?

We have three T-4's.

I have a XXXT and i just got the new Team Novak 5.5 brushless motor its so freakin fast. i have a trinity 3700 mah battery pack and the other day while i was running my truck it caught on fire. I was showing my friend my car and then it stopped i think the esc did the thermal overload thing thank god. but then my friend was like um your car is smoking and i took off the shell and took out the bat and the back end of the battery was on fire. the smoke was from the plastic end burning. then i could see the battery bar and i tried the throttle again and the battery bar glowed bright bright red and caught on fire. ya thats my stadium truck story. im kinda afraid to run it now

I was earlier in the year((practice and first time at a track), but to everybody defense the weather was kinda crappy that day. I was just curious because I see that lots of memebrs here are running Nitro, and I'm like hmmm maybe electric is not cool anymore, and I'm better at electric than nitro. I can't tune a nitro engine very well. When my Revo was working I had a friend tune it for me.

I also set fire to my T4 once, I was an idoit and ran it in 98 degree heat, and notice after a nice 10 minute run smoke was coming out of the rear. I picked up the truck and saw that I melted the lead wires, and burned the com on the motor, also melted the rear motor guard. The motor was fired, lead wires shot, motor guard melted, rear of the body was melted, and I burned my hand (yeah I was a idoit and grab the back of the truck). It was an easy repair, and makes a decent story.

I have several electrics:
one heavily moded Stampede. Ultimate Traxxas Style. Widened, alum nitro knuckles and wheels, wheelie bar, hot motor & electronics ets. I had a Novak 5800 in it which was good for 30+ mph, but switched it out.

One mild modified HPI RS4 MT. A few choice carbon fiber parts new wheels/tires, and now home to the Novak SS 5800 BL system. Thing absolutely flies, but it is a stadium truck so not a great basher.

Also, one 1987 Kyosho Ultima buggy. A few choice Kyosho upgrades including CF shock towers, Option House Gold shocks, motor guard. Shelf Queen.

One mild mod Mini-T. Orion motor, 6 cell batteries, good for about 18-20 mph. This is the one that my 3yr old son drives. He is quite good at it.

But I prefer to drive the Savage, now with the new K4.6 motor, and my Stampede. I can't even break the Stampede any more.

hey all, just catching up in the thread. I have a T3 I used to race downstate in stock before I moved to Chicago. I have a bunch of mini's since I can't get out much to race and end up goofing inside or on the street. but now that I know I can drive pretty easy to Leisure from where I'm at, I may get back into racing again.

I really can't wait to get my T4 to the track, it has only got to see a track once, I think it actually misses it. It does get boring just driving up and down the street, when all it wants to do it some jumps.

One Mini-t with Trinity Monster motor and 6cell pack.
Wondering if anyone wants to sponsor an indoor carpet race/bash or two somewhere this winter. Anyone have access to a large warehouse or school/church gym?

I have a traxxas bandit. It has a Kyosho 17t motor with a 12t ESC. Dirthawgs in the rear and roadrages up front. I have a gp3300 but I have some issues. If someone wants it for free I will give it to them. I don't know if it any good though. PM if you want details.

I am giving the battery away for free. Not the bandit. Just clarifying this because someone sent me a PM on which I am giving away and I am sure it would happen again.
