I vote for 7 min heats, and if they mix MT's and MAT's then it makes it more fair that MAT's have to pit and we don't. They ARE faster, period. (depending on drivers). It would be like a handicap for the MT guys.
yes my revo will go 8 mins on a 125cc tank with the P5.
I say either way we race MAT's and MT's together whether the MAT guys want to just mop it up or not (run 5 min heats). I'm sure some of us revo guys will beat some of you MAT guys anyway. A MAT is only fast if you know how to drive and keep it on the track.
I am going for blood just so all of you MAT guys and me are on the same page.
And the only people who half way scare me and my revo are John Adams, Brian, and Eric. They are the only consistant drivers that are normally there. Everyone else is all over and inconsistant. I can admit, I'm like that too. So all I need to do is consentrate on not wrecking, and hope all you other MAT guys keep on with your regular routine.
Now being that this is the end of the season AND it's a cash race, I'm betting alot of non-members will show up (good drivers at that).
I'm gambling on:
-Eric having a terrible day
-John adams breaking
-Brian getting too anxious and nervous
-michowski getting hacked off the track because the MAT guys are mad that he's beating them
-And me having a flawless day
I might as well stay home ....lol
Remember guys, I admitted I can't drive also.

Ok, so my frustration with the unfair rules laid down by the powers that be who drive truggies has gotten the best of me. It's not just this club, it's everywhere.
Oh, and Mr. Tune, Tex, Mich, Rocco and anyone else who races a MT, you're next. If you guys don't stand up and fight for fair rules then there will be no one left to race against. Think of it, Rich, Matt, Eric, Lance have all dropped Revos for Truggies. Now me. Who are you going to race?!

most tuggys can go 7min with gas left so its not a advantage to the mt guys over a umt guys running 7 min. the reason we are running 5 min heats is that the timing system is all set for that and it is a Paine in the ass to change. mains we can change at the start but heats we cant. To change them you have to change everything minimum lap times, time betwine races, the number of racers in a heat. trust me it is a Paine, and the system is running well now and it would suck to mess it up now.

So sorry if my/our request that things be made fair is an inconvenience. Maybe we MT racers should just stay home and mail our checks to the truggy winners.

dude slow down your getting mad over something you know nothing about. we would never let a stock mt race heads up against umt. it looks like we will have plenty of people to split them. if we don't we will handicap the umt guys. just relax this is just for fun. I know you are scared to put your TNT MOD REVO against a LSP but if you look at the lap times from last week the two fastest trucks 1 LSP 2 REVO (GREVO) so and it was close, but after them it is all umt so its not fair to put them all together without a handicap of some sort. just relax it will be fun.

My concern has nothing to do with being scared. I'll race anyone with my Revo in a fair race.
The fact of the matter is that Revos don't have a center diff and the same low center of gravity as the truggies. Not to mention the fact that that center diff allows them to get the HP to the ground.
Regardless of this race. My Revo is up for sale. Any reasonable offer accepted.

How about a digital camera and a package of hotdog buns, almost empty bag of doritos, 7 Coors Lights and 3 Diet Cokes and a fresh box of tissue for that Revo ?

I'm all about having fun also. Like everyone said, it's just another race day. I would be happy if I won or got last. I just love racing. I don't think I've worked out the bugs on the revo yet ( I need practice on a track to do that) so I'm not even sure if i can last a 5 min heat :bustingup
$15 or $20 is worth a days racing anytime IMO.

Well Bruce you can't go wrong with the Jammin' from what I've read on other forums so thats a good choice it seems.
Do it! you might like it more! I can garrantee it'll break less than a MT. Tough like a buggy!

I wish I had my LSP in time for this weekend, but even if I get it I don't think it will be ready to race.

Bruce stop getting so upset dude. The UMT class has takin off in a big way and it will slow down too someday. You never know. Just because there is money being paid out to the top drivers doesnt make it a cut throat race. Shit its not like its $500 or something. Maxs had a big payout a few weeks ago and I can honestly say that it was one of the best races I have ever been too, no drama whatso ever with the top guy taking home $500 and second grabing $200. Are you going to start a MT union or something to get far rules. every class has its own set of rules and most are the same rules. IM sure no one is going to screw over the MT class in favor of the UMT class, but you have to admit, revos just dont do it for everybody and they break easier. (I just got me an MGT to race with you guys and have some fun Too!)Thats why I think guys are leaving the class, speed and durability, not rules. Theres not going to be a whole lot of non members there, but we will be there. Dont some of you guys want to see your track driven flat-out on a professional level? This only helps the club and attracks more attention to the club with its fun first approach. IM looking forward to racing with you guys again and meeting some more new people, It would be ashame if some of you club members didnt show because some out siders steal the cake. Just try to have fun.
Besides, I'm sure all those sponsors you have will not be too happy with you for not supporting there products with race attendences and wins. Especiallly if you plan to sell that revo with there product on there, you can kiss some of that sponsorship support goodbye and earn a bad rep from fellow racers. This is not how a sponsored driver is supposed to act, never throw in the towel. Step it up to the 1/8 world and get a true taste of how we race on a serious level, I honestly think you would do quite well with a buggy and you would drive a lot better. You are definitly 1/8 material and would make a good transition. I know Rich could help you with a few things as he has learned and caught on fast. Get a buggy Bruce and hook up with Rich, I know you got what it takes drive one.

I smell some good racing coming up this weekend.
I think all the different classes are fun. At one point or another I raced all of them. Well stadium only once (which I'm sure is fun if you get serious with it)
Buggy I had alot of fun! MAT was the most adrenaline IMO! and I'm back to SMT, which is it's own world of fun.

If the truggies are seperated I'll race, if not, I'm boycotting the race.
