Quick Shock Question
#1
I want to know what makes a shock really bouncy. Is it heavy springs and light oil, or heavy oil and light springs? Thanks.

light spring with light oil, more than anything I would say. Thin oil will let the shock rebound faster, but not longer (time). Thicker oil will act like stiffer springs because the pistons will move slower, and be less bouncy.

Thinner oil would definitely result in the plunger moving up and down faster.

Heavy springs and light oil is the "bounciest"

This is like a whole science, as someone (here?) explained to me, softer suspension means when you accelerate the chassis 'squats' and gets traction. Stiff suspension means you get a 'see-saw' effect, the front end has more of a tendency to rise and you loose traction.
