I figured I would put this here since I don't have pics taken yet. I got the OS .21 installed, the trans moved up (I screwed up and 1 hole was out of place in the chassis but it I can't budge it at all with the 3 in there so I am not going to worry about it for now) the pipe is hung, all of the linkages are done... everything.
I am absolutely shocked at the power this thing makes. I had a picco .26 in my buggy a while back and this thing blows that away. The motor is still very rich as it hasn't had more than a half gallon on it yet. I got the temps up to about 170 and tooled around for a little while before shutting it down. I need to get e seal for my tank so I didn't even try to tune it yet. There is so much compression that I had to heat the head first before I tried to start it. Once it was started it will idle all day, even as righ as it is. This is the first time I have driven a MT with enough power to pull the front end off the ground virtually on command in second gear. I am thrilled. Thanks to chris for the motor and Gabe for all of the help with the installation... well worth the time to fit the 3-shoe buggy clutch in there. :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy:

4 days. LoL I don't mess around. Granted I have to live a week on $4.37 now but I think I can handle that... I'll just waste away to normal. I will get my tank all sealed, scrape together some pennies to get some longer fuel line, do some tuning, maybe get together for a small bash, and pretty much use the rest of this fuel. Next week I will get paid, pay off Gabe, buy some fuel and will be back in business 100%. :-)

Bring it... I'll take an RG Vs VZ-B race. I think I have pretty good odds... This thing is SICK. I can't even imagine what it will be like after I start to lean it out.

Right now I am running Tomm'y JR XR2 or whatever... I will either be getting the MX-3 up or going M8 spektrum in the near future. (as money allows basically) It's ok though... I will race you like this.

I will see how it is after I tune it. Right now with it being so rich off the line there is no pop... I will have a lot playing around with setups ahead of me...

I have one... it's called a wing. It just barely has 1/2 gallon into it. I was told it hadn't even been leaned out yet. He was right... low end is very rich and the high end is pretty rich.

Good job finishing it up on your own Dan! Now get a oring from Tune for the tank before you screw that new motor up.
Oh yeah everyone, me and Dan found out that his stock gas tank o-ring was blown and that's most likely what caused his last motor to be inconsistant and lean. End result=blown motor.

Lean it out a little dude, 170 is too cold. Too cold is just as bad as too hot.
With that said, let's see how you do on a race track with that thing!

Look at his old avatar...that's why it blowed up...he drives it like a maniac.
How does one spot a blown fuel cap oring, since we are an educational thread now? I always feel for the "pop" when I open the tank. I know you can leak test also, so what other ways? And Tune, please restate the size oring you found locally and where you found them....thank you.
