I have to agree that I agree with just about everyone on this topic. I fealt that he honestly wanted to get money for the revo and get out of UMT. I should have known something was up when he passed the killer deal on the motor to get this thing running to instead buy a RTR off of ebay that he has never seen. It would have been cheaper. Then he said that he would sell it to me with the plastic arms only for about the same price. I wanted the aluminum ones so I, like an idiot, offered more. Now I paid more than I was originally hoped, and the truck is way below what I had originally thought. (The only problem brought up to me was the cracked wing which wasn't that big of a deal.) It sucks knowing that I STILL owe him more money for a truck that was nowhere near described. It sucks knowing that being the good person I am will still pay him for it because I don't want to let my end of the deal down and know that he already bought another Lightning...
He can say that he gave me extra shock shafts... there is what looks like it may be one that was in a baggy of extra parts the guy gave him. That doesn't change the fact that he changed the arms, put the wrong hub carrier back on, the bent CVD, the badly binding shock, the slop and tightness in the steering, the broken wing... everything. I didn't have a chance to look it over until it was too late... Now I, being short on cash as is, will need to bite the bullit, buy my starter box, charger, reciever pack and now shock oil, a wing, possibly shock parts, a CVD, and a hub carrier... Add that to what I have already paid and I could have gotten one NIB..... I have surely learned my lesson. If something is too good to be true... it is. :-(

This is just me,
But I would buy everything it needs to make it right (or as described), and deduct that from what you owe him. This way everyone is happy.
So you didnt even get the aluminum arms? WTF?????

No he got the aluminum arms. Dan, total up what all that is going to cost and I will cover it up to $50, cause I only paid $250 for it, so then you'd get it in running shape, for what I paid for it.

I think that is a good way to do it. Thank you... (Do you want me to just give you $50 to make it easy so I won't need to come get $$$ from you then??)

We are mostly local guys and trying to be fair with each other, right? Why not look at stuff before buying it whenever possible? Nobody is intentionally trying to screw anyone ( I hope), it's just selling. You set your price and if somebody wants to pay it, they pay it. If they don't ask questions, or want to see it, unless the seller grossly overstates the condition of the item, it's buyer beware.

I would like to get the silver ones so that it matches and I will have a spare. If you take the $18 on instead and figure in tax and all of that crap it would be right about $50... I would be paying the extra anyway so I hope you don't have a problem with me doing it that way. Plus then I get a new one and not a take-off... I think the original plan works out well...

Ok as long as you cover the extra $10 or what ever it's fine with me!

Yeah I wouldn't expect anything more than that to cover it. I think the $50 is very reasonable and would make me very pleased with the transaction. Thank you.
