I bought some dively's (sp?) LM and 2 spray cans of paint and it was almost $25 after tax. My clear body was $31. That's about $60 for a two color job and you have to do the labor yourself.
It's definitely worth the $80-90 total for a custom paint job like one of Mike's.

+1
add for compressor (or 2) and an airbrush, lots of #11 xacto blades, your time....and the first 20 or 30 turn out like crap....better off to pay someone...unless you really want to learn how to do it, like me, but I needed a second hobby to go along with RC.
Tex, I would let it fully dry. I tried cheating my way thru using a hair dryer and it didn't work too well. When I put the next coat on, the last one would peel up a little and form little globs everywhere.....
I found thin coats dry faster but you need so many to make it peel well....and think about this....if you are only doing minor detail work between the two color where they meet, you don't need to LMF the whole shell. Just the area you are going to detail and trim. The rest you can cover with masking tape. Saves on LMF.

Yep and yep I usaully spray (or brush in your case) then blowdry on low setting then let it sit for a couple hours, then repeat. When its on there thick I'll let it dry for a day or two more.
