Oh... and from what I've heard that pipe is worth the extra money over the Jammin.

Not saying anything is wrong with the pipe, I just don't have the money and am looking for a used JP-2.

hey, so i do or dont need the spectrum ?

It's up to you. It's nice to have. But so many people have spektrum that you shouldn't have any problems having an open frequency.

Not required...it just makes for less chance of frequency related hassles. I WOULD stay away from AM "stock" type radios and at least get an FM radio, synthesized frequency, if possible.

yep - sorry didn't read that part of the thread as closely as I should have. DOH.

UE-Maxx Wrote:M8 is synthesized right? It depends what module you have for the M8, regular FM, synthesized FM, or spektrum system.

I believe there is an AM module for the M8 as well...
03-27-2006, 05:48 PM
M8's dont come syth. You can get a Novak or Airtronics syth module for one.
FYI. M8's are discontinued. M11's are the replacment.

Hey i know its up to me but heres my thoughts, pay about $750 for the kit another 3-$400 for a decent engine and and the radio , well that easily puts this machine well over $1,000 and I dont want to fear having my buggy take off with some little radio glitch or a someone turning there radio on accident in the pits....
03-27-2006, 06:38 PM
Shycago, I havent followed this thread from the beginning. Are you looking for radio suggestions ?
03-27-2006, 07:00 PM
now he is, the M8 is fine u dont need to spend anymore money for a new radio, yea the M11 has a bunch of "great" new features, but i dont think it will change ur driving lol stick with the M8 until u really need a new one

I agree with mike, the m8 is more than suitable.
My m11 is great and I love it (a bit heavy), but the m8 is also a great radio..
