I plugged them with silicone and then a small piece of tape over it from the inside.

Ok then, makes sense.

Holes directly in the center, or off to the sides?

2 or 3 holes?

There's varying opinions here about that... I put two holes, on the centerline of the tire tread face, 180 degrees apart. I have also heard about putting the holes in the tire sidewall....never have seen it or tried it.

ShooGoo would work good on the wheel holes too I bet. Dries harder than silicone.

If I do, I'm just gonna use some 1 ton epoxy. It ain't never coming out lol.

I don't think the sidewall would be as effective, it wouldn't let the dirt fling out as easily.

But it wouldn't let it in as easily there, either. That might be the reasoning.
Use just a little whatever to plug those holes to avoid an imbalanced wheel.

I just got my new white Boa foams this AM and am going to be putting them in my new MS Boas for the outdoor season. I'm very confident in my choice. Clays would be good also I hear from guys I know and trust.

BTW, the dust issue is only a concern on tracks that have talcum powder like top dust and don't water. That's not many tracks here in the midwest that I recall from last year. This year I'm counting on more of the tracks watering if they want to draw the big Chicago crowd.

Hell, I'm about ready to get both now-the Boas, for outdoor (Medium soft like satoch said) and the new bowties.

Panther Boa's will be the tire of choice this year my friends. Trust me!!!
C compound, from what I've heard, are dialed outdoors and last for ever. I'll be trying them this weekend. The new Boa foams will last the like of the tire.

I leather punch 3 holes in the tire as close as possible to the center line to allow the loose dirt to escape. I leave the holes in the rims alone and have never had a problem. you can purchase a leather punch from a hardware store for less than $10. It's well worth it.

See you soon!!

whatever. and I'm sure it's not the holes, or lack of holes, in his wheels that makes him faster than the average bear.

Like they say, there's more than one way to skin a cat.

I like the lawnmower method, myself. Sorry Tune.
