i didnt because its was a bad night there. nothing but hacking from everybody and a lot of marshals were also getting hit by cars also. A 6 year old girl was marshaling at the end of the straight away and somebody with a lst drove wot into her ankle. Might i remind you thats a 15 pound truck not an 8 pound truck. And o my god was there hacking from anyone and everyone. I couldnt even get a solid lap in without those freaking buggies hacking you and spinning you out. Then if you as so much as pass them they get a freaking attitude towards you like you did something wrong. I drove about a tank before i just left. Worst part was not a single person wanted to marshal either. And its really hard to marshal for 15 trucks alone and then some people still get mad at you for not instantly flipping there car over. Man i swear that place has good days and bad. Those buggy drivers need to settle down too. It was just practice and there racing like its a national event a main race. Next time this happens again you better believe im not gonna hold back from hacking those buggies. Im gonna hook them from the wing and nail them into a wall going wot. They can give a poop about what they do to me or anyone else so whats fair is fair. They wont even apologize if it is there fault. Worst part was it was on purpose to. You spin out on a turn and like 3 seconds later here comes a buggy just flying into you not stopping at all. And because he drove into you its still your fault. Man that track has good and bad days i tell ya. wednesday was a good day when everyone was just racing and having fun no matter what you were driving and today was the complete opposite. Sry for rambling but im tired of being hacked on purpose for no reason at all.

I just posted my rant on the showme site... I was standing 10 feet away when the little girl got hit. Poor girl did a cartwheel, and lost a shoe. Luckily she wasn't seriously hurt.

At one point, Firesprink and I were the ONLY marshalls on the track for at least 30 minutes straight...

Leisure has to regulate the marshalling somehow... It sucks, that I/We pay the same amount of money to run our trucks, but end up spending more time on the track marshalling, while some guys run 2-4 tanks straight, then go sit in the pits for a while, never setting foot on the track to marshall. People need to look ahead a bit in "High Crash" areas, and slow down if there is a marshall doing his thing. At one point, there were 5 trucks and buggys tangled, and upside down. As the marshall is trying to get everyone going, there are guys flying at him from every angle.

I wasn't there tonight, but I agree there are times when its a lot of fun and others where its not even woth it. Saturdays seem to be the worse especially this time of year, people got new stuff for xmas and all of a sudden they are pros. People need to to learn that their controlers have more then stop and WOT.

The way I see it the little girl should not even have been marshalling, I feel bad she got hit but only drivers should be marshalling.

I also agree with the people that just drive from the drivers stand and yell for someone to marshal their car/truck. When I am there practicing I always drive from the pit area, it sucks but this way I can marshal my own or help someone else out. I know its impossible but I wish they could do some sort of mandatory marshalling, like everyone is assigned a number and when your number is called you marshal for like 10 or 15 minutes then do a rotaion or something.

Sorry you guys didnt have fun, now I dont feel so bad that I missed it

That could work... In addition, refusal to marshall would result in being asked to leave.... I know it seems harsh, but it's the only way people will get a clue.... Maybe being out on the track having trucks flying at them will give them an idea of why they should slow down when someone is marshalling a truck...

its pretty sad that you cant even do a lap without worrying about having people hacking you. Most of the time after my truck dies or i mean runs out of gas i clear my space from the starting tables bring it in the pit room and go marshal for a short period. And yes i understand that with 10 trucks running at once it gets really smokey and bad out there but its not gonna kill you to put 10 15 minutes out there then rotate with someone else. There definatly needs to be some kind of marshalling rules for everyone to follow instead of the same group of guys doing it for a good chunk of the night instead of actually getting some good driving time in.

It was like that the last time I went. Haven't been back to leisure since.

Man that sucks!!!! Im sorry to hear about the crap time you guys had! I was dissapointed i didnt go untill i read this.
As for the marshalling maybe if leisure hrs. didnt treat all its patrons like they already know what to do and put up a large sign right were you walk in that explains the rules and what you should do like for exsample no radios on in the pits. If your a green horn excited that you just bought the "best race truck" and havent ever raced you may not know that your supposed to do more than just go balls out till you break or run outta fuel.
Im not standing up for all the newbies in any way i just think that its way to relaxed there! $7 bucks doesnt give you the right to bash and break others pricey r/c stuff
The last time i was there the guy runnin the place (not bernie) was more intersted in runnin his buggy than runnin the track....

You said it Roc! If there was rules made up at the track, someone would have to enforce them. From what I've seen, the guys that are there at night from leisure are more interested in working on what ever r/c they have in front of them. But it all comes down to common sense when people are racing and or marshalling.

I totally disagree with that statement. For instance, if one of us went to the flying field on Irving Park rd. we would automatically know what to do because it's common sense? NO we would have no idea what to do because flying would be new to us.

Same goes for RC cars, if people are new to the hobby I guarrantee they have no idea what to do . It wouldn't be part of their common sense because they have never encountered anything like a RC track.

They need a REALLY BIG sign on the pit area wall with all the steps to racing and marshalling. They should also enforce that new people read it before they even pay

Tex I agree with you, but I guess I didn't explain myself enough on the common sense part. What I meant by that was about what the others posted about drivers hitting marshalls and other cars that are already piled up. Personally, if I was going to a flying field for the first time, I would ask around first what I can do to help out or what are some of the do's and dont's.

Im totally with you guys!! I know everybody makes mistakes and "rubbins racin" but i know id like not have to worry as much when im there about my trucks getting wrecked (i know too that sh*t happens and somtimes things happen dont get me wrong) or getting tagged by a 10 to 14 lb. Truck with 3+ hp. Last wensday it took every bit of my being to keep from drop kicking a guys revo after he jumped it and hit me dead in the onions!!!!! :o I was in the back corner of the track were theres always a pile up and it wasnt like i jumped in the lane in front of the guy i had been there long enough to flip over like 5 trucks!!! Stuff like that is what im talking about not the stuff thats purely accidental....

This is my point exactly... I for one have trouble on that back corner, and know all too well how easy it is to get turned over there. But 5 trucks flipped in the same spot... This only happens when

1.) there aren't enough people marshalling, or the marshalls aren't paying attention ( That is not aimed at you Rocco, so please do not take offense)

2.) Drivers are not paying any attention to what is going on in front of them.

I know it isn't always easy to "Look ahead" on the track, but in High Crash areas, it should come natural to know, or at least try to see, what is in front of you. More times than not, most of the wrecks Saturday were due to people not caring about anything but getting around the track fast, and not being courteous of other drivers or Marshalls. What happened to the Rule of thumb, "If someone behind you is faster, let them pass" rather than block them and cause a crash.

No offense bud!!!! I know it wasnt the latter this time. Trust me it was a big surprise to me to see someone still looking to JUMP that jump...I was shocked!! I guess i kinda expected for people to slow down.... Had i know he was still gonna balls out the jump iwould have had to bust out some Mr. Meaghi sh*t ( show me paint the fence or sand the floor would have worked) to protect the bean bag!!!!! LOL!!!
