Tex, your motor ran great for being 3 tanks old. It only died once during your main right?

Today was alot of fun! Made the A main in truggy. LSP is lots of fun to drive when nothing breaks, lol.

I TQ'd in the revo. That sucker was dialed today! I was super happy. Then a few minutes into the a main, the motor self destructed. I snapped the con rod into 2 pieces Sad. Less than a gallon on that motor .

At the beginning I did. I started to get a little anxious in the last few minutes and started to over shoot it.

Tune, was that the 3.3 in your Revo that the con rod broke?

Rich

Kick ass racing duel with you in the Arena truck B main... Would have loved to watch it from the sidelines.....

Rob H, nice meeting you.

UE-Maxx, good to see you come out again.

We both probally had some big ass smiles walking off the driver's stand !!!

Haha you're funny. That thing ran like shizzit...I think my plug is bad, and realized that after my main lol... I'm going to pick up some stiffer clutch springs too, to help with my idle problem.

That thing was horrible for the first qual I think it was. The idle was wayy up so I had sucky steering, and then I had a slight runaway where it did a doughnut at the end of the straightaway.

For some reason I just get anxious and stuff when I'm up there racing.

Hey, thanks again for the soda.....

Sounded like it was fun to watch. Too bad I was in the same race. I was the last to qualify for the B, but I think I was a lap/minute ahead of the first guy of the C.

Is anyone else having problems with their 3.3's besides you and Tex and didn't both of you do something with the con rod?

It seems that there are some issues with the 3.3, Just look on Traxxas.com or RCU and you will find plenty of posts on 3.3 problems. Granted, a bunch are probably noob tuning issues but there are more than a few with bearing and rod issues. Too bad because I was actually thinking of picking up a 3.3 for my Revo.

fawk the 3.3, go with anything else.....even a 2.5 is better. The problem with the 3.3 is using the smaller 2.5 conrod, and bearings with the big piston/sleeve.The smaller parts can't handle that much stress

I'm going back to os motors. the TM specifically. Sure it will only last 3-4 gallons, but it will be rock solid and make tons of power until that time. Every traxxas motor I've ever owned has lasted no longer than 2-2.5 gallons (except the first one, it was still going at the 3 gallon mark when I striped the carb body on it).

i have had good luck %33 of the time with traxxas motors.......if they dont fix my motor im going to buy a new piston/sleeve, sell it, and go big block...

my first motor lasted only 2 gallons......had it rebuilt at hobbytown and that only lasted 1/2 a gallon, then i sent it in and traxxas said the rebuilt was done wrong so they fied it and that lasted me 7 gallons.

then i get the 3.3 and it last 2 1/2 gallons and its got problems. so hoopefully thy fit it for free

Rich & George, your race was awesome!!! You guys were patient and keept it clean and that's what racing is all about. Nice job. Also there was some great sportsmanship when George told John that Rich was the winner because he cut inside the double before the front staight to cross the line first.

I see a lot of you guys getting faster and faster every weekend. Just remember to be patient and wait till the person infront of you makes the mistake.

Great job guys, it was ablast to watch.

Bernie says he's slowly building up the berm on the outside edges of the track as a barrier. Won't be long until cutting over various parts of the track won't save anyone time.

That's good. It'll also help some like me that aren't the most in control of our vehicles stay on track a bit more.
