So I know this is a base level buggy and will never be very competitive but i did my first race at leasure hours last weekend and I want to be more competitive in the C main. I have a GS storm RTR with the panther komoto 2 med/soft tires now. I know problably 90% of it is driving but i want to make sure im getting all i can out of my buggy.
So i have no sway bars stock springs with 40 wieght oil, stock rear toe (i have the option to make it 1.5 degrees of toe in) where should my rear camber be? front toe and camber is pretty random right now and i have to fix it so my steering range is even. i have my brakes setup so the rears lock up and the front are just touched with 100% brake position.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me? my fastest lap after a night practice plus raceday on the outdoor track at leisure hours is 38.330 and i placed 7th in the C main with 9 laps so i know i have plenty of room for improovement but im pretty happy with my progress so far.
any help or suggestions are appreciated.
thanks,
Joe

yea i have the stupid orange flame with blue body. that was my first race. i was having problems through all the qualifying but the main went pretty decent for the most part.
should i moove the adjustable bar thing in the rear lower too? What about ridehight? do you have your springs so there always fully extended? should i adjust ride hieght through the susp arms or taking spring spacers out?

lol slowstang has those springs and it always falls off. mine has a coupler and it fell off because the front wire brace came off. my wing fell off the last heat and it get pretty messy on that turn after the back straight.

no stock motor for me:racing:
That article is very informative thank you.
but since many people race the same track as me im looking for specifics that will work on that track.
so far im going to make those upper arm changes and moove to a stiffer front spring and bring my rear end down to level ride hieght and get sway bars. I think im going to run alittle bit heavyer shock oil. Im mainly curios about how much brake everyone is using and the bigger stuff like that but if someone wants to post everything that'd be great too.

Brakes-Rear 100% (meaning that I can lock 'em up if I want to) and front around 75-80%.
