CHeck this thread. A local racer selling his high end buggy for a steal.

You can get into a high end buggy with all the hop ups for cheap.

The hyper 8 is not all its cracked up to be, the jammin is good but the rtr will need hopups.

I would look at slims, then you can stillbuy some servo's (Because rtr servos are crap) and then pick up a OS rg or some engine for around $120. Youwill still be just at a rtr price but 1000X's better in quality.

what is the fastest rtr buggy or truggy?

they are all the same...if you want fast get a touring car. 2 speed.
most buggy/ truggy go 40-45...as they are not meant for speed.

+1 on slim's kyosho for sale.

Buying that used plus decent servos and a OS VG like stated above will be alot better than any rtr.

How much are you looking to spend?

As far as a radio. A lot of people either use a M8 or M11 and a JR Z-1.

The spektrum DX-2 isn't bad to start off with either.

i dont mind spending extra for a better unit.

Shoot to help a newbie out I will give you an AM rtr radio system. You just pay me to ship to you, I am in ST Charles. Then all you need is crystals.

(If you buy SLims buggy) .....

First off..... do you have nitro experience?? You may not want to just jump right into a fast, high performance buggy without knowing at least the basics on tuning or the works of the car in general. That would be the nice thing about picking up Slim's buggy though. A great roller to work off of, and you can throw a cheap motor (but powerfull and reliable) like the OS-RG in it.

Czech.... if he has no nitro experience (not sure if he does or not) and is willing to spend a "little" more to get something a bit better..... why an M11???? That thing is overkill for almost everyone, especially someone just getting into the hobby.

so you have experience in the sport, get yourself a decent buggy, if you really wanna go RTR or close to it go with the Turmoil ARTR with the motor

how is the jammin x1 crt truggy?

they are all good or decent as long as you stay with the top names, dont even buy a kyosho RTR lol those things are junk unless you get a kit. If you are seriously considering racing get a kit and a sport motor for indoor

Yes. More than enough for just getting into it. And if it will be your first time breaking in a motor on an RC..... get help to make sure it is done right.
