Update:
Kiss the ezstart good-bye and hello bump start! I weighed everything, the motor, gears, backplate, owb, wires, the wire hold down clips, etc, and I cut the weight of the revo another 6 oz!
Pics will be up after work when I get home .

I'm still on the stock tires. I'm picking up the hurricane wheels with the python tires from satoch on 3rd at the elbourn race. I will have my scale with me to get some new weight readings .

dont worry your weight is going to go up to around a pound and a half more at least. These tires with stock foams weigh just over 2 and a half pounds.

lap times is all that counts and the pythons seem to work well even for being heavyweights

I ran them on the lighting and i agree they do equal lower lap times.... They helped me turn 15 laps in 5 mins... Compared to my normal 14

Roc, I wouldn't say that tires made you turn more laps, I'd say that's your outstanding skill as a great r/c driver :moon:

hey mr tune i got an extended chassis for the revo for sale. its tig welded on the top and bottom of the chassis unlike the ballistic chassis and it is sanded smooth to remove the welding spots. Its very durable and the person i got it from has a 1 year warrenty on it against any bends or cracks around the welded area. If your interested its 80 bucks and will come with an instruction manuel on what tiny mods you need to do in order to have everything installed correctly. I would highly recommend this chassis. I ran it today and its just awesome the way the revo handles with just a small extension. Let me know

they guy i ordered it from was extending my red chassis for a custom length and i needed the chassis by friday to get my truck together for a demo show i did today at my lhs. Mine wasnt able to ship till thursday so he sent me a temporary extended one and i got it kinda late saturday afternoon. He said he was in no hurry to get it back so i thought i might try and sell it for him after i saw the performace difference. And since i know your trying to build up a good race truck i thought i would offer you the buy for it.

Hrmmm dilemas.......Its only a .90 extention on the revo's no need to bump them into a different class.
Michski, call in sick on sunday and get your ass to the DD race.

I say interesting because I look at some of the engineering guidelines for the classes, and engine mounting height is factor. Lengthening a wheelbase has the same effect on center of gravity as lowering the engine some amount. Now if you make the track width wider and wheel base longer than stock, you are offsetting engine height effect on CofG.
Just thinking out loud.....

Actually, if you look at the Pro Series rules, extending the Revo chassis length does not effect its legality.
Also, am I understanding this correctly? I have to join the DD club to race July 3rd? I can't even log on the website.
Mr. Tune wants my spare set of brand new Hurricanes/Pythons still in the bags and I'm not going way out there if I can't race.
I'd really love to race with you guys on the track before joining.

Satoch,
The way I read the DD's club rules, you can race one time as a non-member and then you have to join if you want to keep racing in their events on their tracks.

meaning yes you can race on the 3rd and no you don't have to join.
What they are doing is trying to get more non-members to become members and get all the benefits of the club. They want to show everyone the new huge track to try and get people interested in joining.
I would join in a second, but I have no job and ZERO income right now.
Finding a job/getting people to hire you, is harder than one would think these days. I must of applied at 100+ places and had around 15 interviews. Either I have too much experience, or no college degree. (that's what they say) I'm having a really hard time finding someone to hire me. Only if they knew what they were missing
