is it difficult to redo the front and rear diffs in a revo? what fluid weight should i use and what does 30 fr, 20rear make the truck do, or 30fr 30 rear and so on. i been racing with it since the 3.3 first came out. i have never refilled them.

Never refilled them? wow. Although I hear they dont come filled with oil but with grease.
I know with mine,I had 30/30 and 50/30 in there and if I remember right,I didnt like the 50/30 to much. I felt it effected my steering more then I would have liked. You could try the traxxas forums and see what they run,I believe most of them have something like 30/20 or 30/15(or 10).
As for how hard it is. Its more of a pain because they are not easy to get too like it is on a truggy. You basicly have to remove the whole front and rear end to get the bulkheads apart so your able to get the diff out.

It is strange (BS/lying/deceptive,etc.) that Traxxas says in the manual that they come factory filled with 30k silicone fluid. I have not heard a single person say they opened a Revo diff and found anything but black grease????
Anyway, I too, filled with 30k front and 10k rear. Now I have to say that I didn't notice the truck turning much better or worse with this combo, compared to the stock grease-grease setup. This is with stock 2.5 chassis, no center diff, setback rear arms.

Is the oil that comes with a new revo shock oil or diff oil? I think it is shock.
But I noticed a loss in steering when I put 50K in so I took it out right away lol.
You do get used to working on the diffs, So after the first few times,it gets easy and your able to do it rather quickly. But it seems that traxxas never took the diffs into though when they made the revo or else I would think they would have made it easier to work on and change.
I have heard of a small handfull of people doing some work to the bulkheads. Cutting the bottom out making it easier to have the diffs just drop right out when you wanted to work on it. That cut out part would be held in by the skid plate or by holes there were drilled into the bulkhead and screws holding it in,kinda like how the truggy diffs are. But it is not a easy mod to do I guess so not many have tried it.
