Hi.
We have been running an Associated T4RS. After a couple of minutes with no particularly terrible crash, the motor will move forward and jam the pinion into the spur. I tightened the screws, and it still happens. So now I have added a split/lock washer to get more grip. Is this a common problem?

When I used to run electric I had the same problem a few times. You really have to crank down on the motor screws but not so tight they strip the motor can. It's kinda touchy.
I wonder if blue loctite is a good idea on those screws?

when I bash the stampede hard it'll move back and start to strip spur. I guess it's a elec thing lol. I don't think a little blue loctite would hurt never tried it though.

They do make some nice aftermarket motor screws, then ya can put the BEEF to em! I had to run a set when I raced elec, ask them at LH, i'm sure they still got em! Good luck!

bob you want to use 3mm socket head cap screws by 8-10 mm long and use a 3mm flat washer. crank em down super tite and have no more problems.
