have the head and backplate off. put the fat end of a zip tie threw one of the ports and use the piston to push it out. A heat gun will help if gummed up with old oil.

I took the backplate off, put a ziptie in the exhaust outlet through a port, and the sleeve isn't coming out?! (also tried heating it up)

are you turning the flywheel so that that piston hits the ziptie?

Clockwise or Counter-clockwise, both hits the ziptie.

take some vice grips, put them on the flywheel (tightly) so they dont slip, and turn with all your might, heat it up if you want. if its really tight, it shouldnt hurt the sleeve, just indent the zip tie

If it's really tight, it'll snap the zip tie.

its not that easy.

the best way to get them out really is with a bearing puller. you can just tap the front out but if u use the puller on the rear bearing its useless. you can put it in the oven at like 300 for 15 minutes or so and try tappin the case against a cutting board or something but i never was very succesfull in that lol

Heated the engine at 300F for 10 minutes, and the bearings aren't coming out.

Edit: Got the front bearing out, decided to give the Oven another whirl.....even after the engine was in the oven for 3 hours at 300F, the rear bearing still isn't coming out.

*the 3 hours in the oven was because I put it in the oven, came into my room, and totally forgot about it and even when I though about it, I thought I left it on the table in the basement when I got the front bearing out....Probably woulda left 'er in there all night and morning too if i didn't go downstairs to get a drink Confusedmash: Confusedlap: D'oh!

Sounds like you need a bearing puller then.... Why are you taking then out again?

To spray the case out w/ brake clean, and just a clean in general + I'm waiting on a clutch, so why not?

I'd spray it w/ the bearing in there, but I'm not sure if the brake clean will eat the plastic bearings holder inside the bearing, and/or the bearing cover.

Turn the oven up to 350. Let it sit inside for 15 minutes and then just get a peice of 2x4 and lightly tap the back side of the motor on the board and it will just pop out.

yep, I would have just taken off the backplate, head and carb then spray out the inside (after first detailing the outside before disassembling anything)

spraying it down at all is unecessary, theres no point ur just flushing out the good oil left behind after ur fuel burns off.
