IL pro series Rd 2

Me,Lynn,and GQ in that picture.

You can hardly see the drivers stand and one person in front of lynn.

Sportsman was to be 25 if I saw the board right, but then that was also when the cop showed up. So maybe that race got extra time because of the chat they were having.

The race was a mess, lincoln went smoother. The option was given to stop the races and come back on sunday and it was said very quickly that these are one day events and that was final.

Damn right Czech, intermediate needs to go or get the main times dropped down to 10-15min max. too many guys run the class for the track time only. (chad)Wink
98 enties aint crap, with no int crap it could have been done by 6-7 easy. Ya cant blame the neighbors either for calling the cops, I would have called them at 9pm. Wink

why should they do away with int. class? not everyone is expert....kinda sucks for truggy as they group it all together and I just started racing truggy like a mnth. ago. also buggy I have only been racing for 7 mths so i am no exp. buggy racer...the races could be done earlier with all the classes if it was ran smother/faster...

I think its ok with the truggys cause they are easier to drive and there is only 30 or so there anyways, a resort after each round wouldnt be such a bad thing tho.

Im not saying do away with it, but something needs to be done to shorten these days up. Believe me I had my share of getting my ass kicked at big races when i first started but i just paid my dues and got better, thats what just about all the A-main guys have done over the years. Shit now i wouldnt want to get out of sportsman, you get long mains and if you can drive decent you will clean up most of the time.

+1 roc.....O wait thats what i run in :O, it is not nessecary for the state races tho, at the national series when there is 50-60 trucks in int truggy then it is ok, how pissed you think JT would be if he got stuck in a heat of 7 other dudes that just sold there revo and bought a mugen and now think they are rocket powered. LOL

Now I figured rocco or mike to say something like that. Ment for me or not LMAO.. But hey,its true. I came out of the revo group with no seat time in a buggy or truggy before.(not counting the ST-1).

But you have to start somewhere,so I agree with leaving the sportmans class around. I know you top guys at a major race are not going to want to deal with some newbie hackin you up during a qual. Act as hard as you all want, but we all know that. Hell,I dont want that myself! But I dont feel ready to play with the big boys and do well,so I play with the newbies for now.

Your logic doesnt make sense....

If your fast your Fast.... And with qual points it takes away ALOT of the newb problem... Not to mention you get 4 freakin rounds to qualify so even if you do get taken out hardcore you can make it up !

Sportsman truggy is a crutch .. You dont need it.

I am just sayin that I know I cant hack it with the big dogs at a race like the Midwest races. So sportsman is where I can get the job done and be pleased with my finish. While in the expert,I wont be pleased with where I finish because I cant run that well just yet. I might not be giving myself enough props, but I just dont feel worthy enough just yet.

How can you be pleased with ANY finish in Sportsman BESIDES a win....??? ( Protecting your feelings with that tid-bit chad)

I mean even if you finish say 5th in the A, your still in the sportsmans A an imo that makes the guy who finishes dead last in the expert class still finished way better than you!

u cant hack it with the big dogs....neither can I, you make the C D E whatever and those guys are as good as you are. Thats the beauty of qualifying. Thats how it goes its racing. Believe me you think i enjoyed being in the phucking H main at the kyosho race the first year I went? NO! but the next year I was in the E then the last year the C with all guys about my level some worse some better. Thats how the stuff works, you dont qual well you are in a lower main. I understand you dont wanna get thrown into a qual with all the top guys so you just have to keep moving out of the way, Ive been there and I still get stuck there some times but your first year of racing how many guys go to big races? not many thats for sure. After your first year you will prolly decide how serious you are about it and shouldn't even want to run against slower guys or whatever. Maybe im just too competetive but I want to run with the best all the time
