Posted by: rocco79 - 11-19-2004, 12:13 AM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (12)

I was reading my new 356 pg. RCCA (250 pages of adds) And i ran arcoss the werks racing ad and at the top they're advertising That they will soon have the largest, most powerful , nitro engine on the market. It will be a .30 . when will it stop???? Displacements just keep growing. I guess its not a bad thing but pretty soon will all be running .90's!
Just thought that night be interesting to some....

  jr radio question
Posted by: MX_KEVIN - 11-16-2004, 02:48 PM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (5)

Hey, I put a JR reciever in my revo but now im unable to get full swing out of the steering. I set the end point adjustment to full (125) travel but wheels turn less now then with stock radio/reciever. Is there some diffrence between servos from Traxxas and JR. New radio for me also but I didnt have problems setting up the savage. Hopefully my inexperiance is the problem and not neding 2 servos to fix.
thanks Kevin

PS Savage is broke, didnt like hitting the wall on the last lap saterday. Hope to make it to the a main with revo next time.

Okay here's the deal...Im looking to buy a RC car for a gift for my boyfriend. I know absolutely NOTHING about them and was hoping that your expertises here could help me out. Im looking for something around $150-$200 and something that can go like 20-30 mph. It HAS to be a nice car body frame thing...and definatlely not a 4 x 4 truck body part thing. If you people could give me links or suggest places to look at them. THanks a lot!!

Btw... Im about an hour from chitown

Since the other body I painted didnt last very long, I decided to paint a new body. Taking some inspiration from the cover of my Punisher DVD I came up with this.

  Starter boxes
Posted by: rocco79 - 11-14-2004, 08:06 PM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (5)

I was looking into getting a starter box for my gs SUT and my violator. The catch is i no nothing about starter boxes and dont wanna buy a turd so i was curious if you guys had a favorite model, or at least the names of the turds that are out there . I was at the Aurora hobbytown ( it was half time of the bears game and i was at fox and hound, i was also alittle drunk so i figured i could put up with the owners) They had a bunch there and she was pushing DISCOUN DISCOUNT!!! With everything i touched so i figured id ask you guys what ya think. By the way they have a pretty large amount of GS storm SUT parts there.

  Mayhem Buggy
Posted by: ATA_Thrash - 11-14-2004, 06:44 PM - Forum: Racers Forum - Replies (11)

Ok after a little mishap breaking in the mayhem... I got a chance to put the new control arm on today... and tryed the buggy out in my yard.

First impressions: Holy @#$! this thing is fast! 3 tanks of gas back there and its shredding my lawn! it actually throws a rooster tail! Steering is not especially tight turning but it drives very strait and seem more precise then the revo. Wow this thing slides! I know it will be faster through the turns. Jumping was good, although i dont have anything like the cross over at leisure in my yard, as long as i didnt get on the gas too hard it was good.

Needless to say im chomping at the bit to try it at leisure, Maybe L8r I will take some pics of it, its really pretty trick looking for a rtr.
